Harveyville is a city in Wabaunsee County, Kansas, United States. In 1803, most of modern Kansas was secured by the United States as part of the Louisiana Purchase. In 1854, the Kansas Territory was organized. In 1861, Kansas became the 34th state. Harveyville was founded in 1880. It was named for Henry Harvey, a missionary to the Shawnee Indians and early settler at the town site. Harveyville was incorporated as a city in 1905.
